Volunteer Opportunities

If you are interested in getting involved in volunteer work in Gwangju, there are a number of options available. It is a good idea to check the Gwangju Facebook Group or the Volunteering in Gwangju Facebook Group for up-to-date information on what volunteer opportunities are available.

Animal Shelter Volunteering

There is a group that volunteers at local animal shelters. For more information, join their Facebook group.

Plogging

While not an officially sponsored or organized activity, small groups will occasionally gather for a short hike, armed with waste pickers and trash bags. Common sites include the Gwangju Stream (광주천)  and Mudeung Mountain.
