Designated Workplaces

Per our employment contracts, the GMOE has full discretion when choosing our school placements. You should expect to teach at more than one school. 

Schools must first apply for a teacher. During this application process, a committee of researchers and evaluators will score all submissions. The evaluation criteria varies every year but generally concerns school sizes, their experience working with GETs, and overall plan for incorporating us into their curriculum. Sometimes, schools will voluntarily withdraw from the program. Other times, government initiatives, housing market conditions, and anti-curruption policies will create conditions that force teachers to move. Since this process is highly dynamic, our employer can not guarantee that GETs get their preferred locations or grade levels.
