Passport Renewal

During your time with the GMOE, you may need to renew your passport if it is due to expire. If you will be renewing your contract with the GMOE and will thus need to renew your ARC, you will need to check with immigration about your passport validity period. Please also note that if you plan to travel, most countries require you to have a passport which is valid for at least 6 months.

Each country has its own process for renewing passports of citizens outside the country. Please click here to see the details of your country's embassy in Korea to ascertain the process you need to follow.

If you obtain a new passport, you will need to notify immigration within 14 days of its issuance. Please also notify the GET Program Manager and email a scan or clear image of the information page of your new passport.

Lost Passport

If you have lost your passport, try to contact the local police stations to see if anybody has turned it in. If not, you will need to obtain a lost/stolen passport report from police in order to apply for a new one from your embassy.
