Gwangju Online English Center

The Gwangju Online English Center (GOEC) is located at the Gwangju Institute for Creative Convergence Education (GICCE). This is the same building where the Gwangju English Experience Center (GEEC) is. The main goals of the GOEC are to provide Gwangju students of all ages broader access to high-quality, differentiated English language education, especially students whose families might not be able to afford sending their children to hagwons.

Some of our GETs work there full-time, collaborating on materials, teaching to whole classrooms in tandem with Korean co-teachers in the morning, and leading smaller-group and one-on-one classes in the afternoon without a teacher.

Unlike other English Centers in the city, which have their own autonomy, the GOEC is a part of our Guest English Teacher program. Thus any teachers placed here receive full administrative support from the International Education Team. For more information, visit their website.
