The current GET Program Manager is Dean Nguyen. He has been living in Gwangju since 2017. He likes dogs.


Role of the GET Program Manager

The GET Program Manager provides English language and administrative support for the International Education Team, which is a part of the GMOE's Department of Global Democratic Citizenship Education. Sometimes referred to as the "regional EPIK coordinator", the program manager's duties include managing employee records, documentation, organizing training programs, and providing work-related support including onboarding, offboarding, and employment history verification. Other responsibilities include keeping our GETs informed of all important work-related issues, liaising with policymakers, helping disambiguate policies and procedures, and advocating for our GETs' ability to meaningfully participate in Korean society.


Please note that the GET Program Manager is not an officer of the GMOE and thus cannot give official approval for any requests such as vacation time, camps, unpaid leave, business trips, etc.
